Quigley Catholic High School
CELEBRATING THE LEGACY OF SPARTAN ATHLETICS
IN HONOR THE REMARKABLE SPORTS HERITAGE THAT DEFINES QUIGLEY CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL AND ALL OF THE ATHLETES THAT REPRESENTED THE SCHOOL OVER THE YEARS
From the first whistle in 1967 to the final buzzer in 2020, Quigley Catholic Spartans athletics did more than win games—they formed character. In Burgundy & White, generations of student-athletes learned discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, and faith. Our fields, courts, tracks, and sidelines were places where friendships were forged, leaders were made, and a community found its voice.
Our Story
Quigley competed with heart across the WPIAL, earning section titles, playoff runs, and unforgettable upsets. But our legacy isn’t just in scorebooks—it’s in the people: the athletes who gave everything for the jersey, the coaches who taught life through sport, the families who filled the stands, and the volunteers who made game day possible.
Pillars of the Spartan Way
Faith & Character: Competing with integrity and honoring God in victory and defeat.
Excellence: Preparing, practicing, and playing the right way.
Family: Supporting teammates, opponents, officials, and fans with respect.
Service: Giving back to the parishes and neighborhoods that supported us.
Honoring the People Behind the Program
We remember the builders of our tradition— coaches, trainers, statisticians, ticket takers, faculty, and alumni boosters —and beloved supporters like Edward “Mr. D” Driscoll, whose steady presence on the sidelines embodied Spartan spirit. This memorial is for every person who showed up early, stayed late, and put students first.
